Bobby Flay and A Giveaway

Bobby Flay.jpgThat is right a giveaway just in time for Christmas! Find out how to register for a $25 American Express card at the end of the post. Be sure and read the post and follow the links to enter the Hellmann's free food for a year giveaway!

Thanks to Mom Select, I found out about this great site: Hellmann's Real Holiday Helpings. This site has several great things to offer!

There are some great looking recipes that don't have a lot of ingredients and look pretty easy to make. Hellman's and Best Foods have teamed up with world renown chef Bobby Flay to create some holiday dishes. I know for certain I will be trying the artichoke dip!

Also while you are on the site be sure to register to win FREE GROCERIES FOR A YEAR! Who couldn't use that!!!

There is also a matching game on the site and 3 of the top scorers per day wins a $50 grocery card. I will say that the game got a little frustrating for me, even the though the clock never slowed down, the cards were very slow to turn at times, but still I had fun playing! Hope my score is a winner!!!!

There are also videos of Bobby Flay creating some holiday dishes that will wow your family and guests. My one suggestion is be sure you have a little extra time when heading to the site because there are quiet a few things to see and do.

Now for the Nap Time giveaway. Mom Central sent me a $25 American Express Card for participating in this blog tour and in the spirit of giving, want one of my readers to have one too! So for those of you in the United States that would like a chance to win...

... leave a comment on this post of something that makes the holiday's "real" for you.
....if you would like an extra entry blog about this giveaway and leave the link in your comment.

Good Luck! Will accept entries until midnight (CST) Saturday, Dec. 19th, I will be choosing a winner Sunday the 20th.

The holidays become "real" to me when I see people helping others. It's the one time of year when almost everyone will do something nice for someone else.

It seems real when people are scurrying home early on the last work day and all of a sudden it's so quiet out on the street because everyone is with their families!

The holidays will come ut what makes it real for me is when my husband and I put the tree up and then decorate it.

Listening to Christmas music is what makes it real for me. Once I start listening to Christmas music the month of December is over before I know it.

Okay, it has to be putting up the tree. The lights on the tree mean Christmas!

I love shopping for people and getthing them presents. But to me, it's seeing their faces light up (that is when I've found the perfect gift for them!) when they open their present!!

I love the time spent with family. More get-togethers and receiving cards from those who we rarely get to see.

2 things: getting to see my parents (who live in London and only make it back for Christmas) and the commute back home... Though I usually hate airports, they come alive with cheer and kindness to others that really encompasses the spirit of the holiday.

I love it all! I love that there are just so many more reasons to get together with friends and family. So far, I have already been to 2 Christmas parties, plus I am getting together with girlfriends two times this week to make cookies, plus so much more. But what really makes it "real" is the decorations.

This year I think what'll make the holidays real is getting to be with my husband again. We're living apart for the year :(

It definitely becomes real when the red kettles come out for the Salvation Army. The sounds of that bell ringing and seeing people empty the coins from their pockets. I like that.

The holidays are definitely real to me because my bank account is empty and my house is filling up with guests! :)

For me, it's the tree. Before we put up the tree, it's still Thankssgiving in my mind.

I'm looking forward to getting together with family again... ...and asking why we have to wait for Christmas to do that.

There is something that is so magical about this time of year, most of us feel it. It's the twinkle in your eye, the lightness in your step, the generosity that comes from your hands, the love that pours from your heart when all of the family and friends, near and far, connect over a common celebration of togetherness. It is a beautiful thing. It really is the most wonderful time of the year.

My ultimate favorite part of the holidays that make it so real is Christmas morning. I absolutley love watching the kids' faces light up when they see what Santa dropped off and then after my mom and sister cme over and we all celebrate together. Sometimes with homemade breakfast burritos. MMMmmm. My kids make the holidays real. :)

Christmas is "real" to me when I am in the company of my boyfriend's family opening gifts and sharing fellowship with one another. But, Christmas officially feels real at the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at my church and we reflect on Christ's birth and what it means to us today.

We have been going to a "living Bethlehem" for a couple of Christmases now. Our kids really like it and it helps them get the spiritual meaning of Christmas that I want them to know. Living Bethlemhem is set up to look just like Bethlehem in Jesus day and has live animals and people making things in a market and Roman soldiers and you walk through and just take it in like you were there. canoli1978@gmail.com

Family makex the holidays "real" for me. My husband's previous job required that he be gone most of Christmas the last three years. He has a new job, and despite the dramatic pay decrease, this year will be the best Christmas because he is with us!

The holidays are real to me when my mom bakes cinnamon rolls before everyone begins opening presents. The whole family congregates in the kitchen, groggy-eyed but happy, Christmas music in the background and the smell of cinnamon rolls slowly filling the house.

Each year I volunteer to help with "Shop with a Cop" where police officers take children from families having a hard time and buy them some presents for Christmas. It never seems like Christmas until then; the excitement of having a police officer take you shopping is infectious. I'm always "in the spirit" after our shopping trip.

Kinda funny, but shopping for gifts is what actually makes the holidays real for me. There are years when my financial situation doesn't allow me to shop for gifts, and that just seems to put me in a funk. So being able to put smiles on the faces of the ones I love means a lot to me and increases my own pleasure in the holidays!
