You're not scared of monsters...

For Christmas, Hunter got the DVD Monsters INC. So today I put it in the DVD player while I did some cleaning. I was in the kitchen washing dishes and he came running in and said, "Those monsters scare me".

So, I looked at him and said "no, your not scared of monsters, remember you have that book about monsters that you love."

He then said "oh" and ran back to watch the movie.

Later on he decided again that "Those monster scare Hunter". So I am going to have to find a sale and get something a little less scary for him to watch.

Any suggestions?

My two year old loves the first Shrek movie. He also enjoys the 2nd Ice Age movie. Haven't tried Monsters Inc yet.

That's too bad! Ava loves Monsters, Inc! Has he watched Toy Story yet? That's Ava's favorite.

I'd swap it for Cars. The Bean loves that one.

We don't have the attention span to sit through movies yet but the few times Graham has seen "Cars", "Shrek" or "Nemo", he's liked them. How about some TV episodes on DVD, like Blues Clues or Elmo?

I would say Cars. My daughter (who is now 19) loves Little Mermaid to this day. It came out on video when she was one and sat through it from beginning to end, completely captivated! She would suck in her breath every time she watched it! Little ooo's and ahhhs! Great memories! :)

Try Kipper! It's a series about a dog and his friends. It's a really mellow cartoon but kids love it.

But those monsters in the show are so cute! Maybe you should train him not to be scared of them? haha!

I can see why it would be a scary movie.

I have to second the "Cars" and "Lion King" suggestions. Every little boy I know loves "Cars" and my girls sat through almost the entire "Lion King" movie - I couldn't believe it!
