The rest of the story

Okay, I have been back from Florida for a couple of days now. The laundry is done and I went and got my dog yesterday. I am ssslllloooowwwwlllyy getting caught up with my blogging world.

So, here are a few more stories and pics from the beach...

I lost my favorite sunglasses!!! A wave took them right off my head. I wasn't far out in the ocean at all but the flag was yellow along with purple (scary ocean critters) so I was a little jumpy. Anyhoo, I have held onto these glasses for years. I was very sad to see them go.

So, after this was done I decided I was done with the ocean, so I was going to ride a wave into shore. However, what occurred was a wave rode me into shore. Now, the waves were decent so, as the waves go in you can go from waist deep to ankle deep water in no time. It is not easy to stand up in ankle deep water with salt water in your eyes. When you are not sure which body parts your bathing suit is covering this makes it a little more difficult. Add to that the waves that are continuing to crash into you, well let's say that I hope my dignity and sunglasses meet on the ocean floor and have a nice reunion!!!

My step-brother got stung by a moon jellyfish - it didn't seem to get him too badly, after a few minutes you could not even tell where it had happened.

On Friday we made our attempt at the beach family photo. Oh what fun!!! My 21 month old child only wants to run in the sand - he had no intention of sitting or standing still for a photo. We may have had one that he was still, my eyes were open, and my moms teeth weren't clinched because she was spouting lies to my son about going to see horses if he sat still. Haaa haaaa! It was hell a hoot!

We did have a wonderful vacation and I so enjoyed spending time with both mine and Brad's family!
