Yesterday I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and bought a few closet organizing items. Until I did a little reorganizing yesterday, Hunter and I shared a shorts drawer. One of the "blessings" of living in an old house not a lot of good closet storage.
So as I was wrestling with some double shelf contraption, I was wishing to myself that I had more room. That is when it occured to me that I should be wishing that I had better ability to let things that I don't use and/or need go.
So today I started going through my clothes again and letting go of sweaters that I did not wear this past winter so there is a good chance I will not wear them again.
As I make my neat Goodwill stack, Hunter is coming up and pulling the sweaters off the pile. But, as long as he is "helping" maybe he will let me finish this task.
So after I finish with the first round I look down and most of the sweaters are missing and I know that Hunter has not left the room. So as he picks up another I watch him take it and work deligently to get it into his dirty clothes hamper.
I tell you ladies if I ever allow him to leave me, he will make some woman a great husband one day! :)

Aw, that's so sweet! My 1-yr-old always has to "help" with projects like that, too, which means I have to be in a certain frame of mind in order to tackle them!
Ah, what a helper you have.
The BEST book for organizing I have found is "Organizing From the Inside Out." It says we all go about organizing BACKWARDS and to figure out what we have before we buy storage, instead of buying storage and fitting our stuff into it. It also talks a lot about Kindergarten Organization: a place for everything and everything in its place. It changed my life.
My 3 year old loves to help with chores, my 14 year old doesn't though. Funny eh?
Good for you for purging!! We are in need here too. I know for a fact that we have clothes that need to go out. It is just so exhausting to me. Hopefully I can do it before our summer vacation so I will feel free before we head out.
That is so sweet!
