Okay, yes I am a bit on the crazy side but I want to let you in on something I am going to attempt this year and maybe you will want to give it a try also...
Yesterday, I picked up some stocking stuffers and about a month ago I picked up a couple of board games for under the tree (they were $2 each).
You say "Toni, it is only June,"
I say "Can you believe it is already June and do you know how quickly December will be here."
Honestly, I try to do this every year, get my shopping done early so that when the actual "holiday season" is upon us I can get more enjoyment out of it but it never really works out.
Now, I know that some people will scrutinize and say well obviously you spend to much time on the commercial part of Christmas and not enough time with it's true meaning. And to you I say that you are probably right. However, I would like to think that I spend time (never enough) thinking about the true meaning of Christmas year round and that in December I enjoy giving gifts and watching people open a nice surprise.
So, yesterday while at Target I noticed in the 1 dollar section some little farm animal things that would be great in Hunter's stocking, and since they may not be there closer to the holidays I went ahead and purchased them.
You know the real trick is come wrapping and stocking filling time, remembering that I purchased this stuff and where the heck I put it!!! Until then get outside and enjoy the warm/hot weather!

I DO THE SAME THINK--ha--I pick up stuff starting in August!! :)
This Trick so works when they are little. Teens are just no fun to buy for. I did it this way for years, it makes it so much easier at holidays.
Every single year I say that I'll do that...You know, getting everything before Xmas time so I don't get much stressed but the fact is I never manage to do it!Would you be so kind and do it for me???LOL!
XOXO
I always vow to do that and I never do. This year will be different though.

That's a good idea. We don't celebrate Christmas, but we have Holy Days in the fall that we usually buy gifts for...I should try that this year. I tried buying a few things ahead of time last year, but I was so excited about them that I ended up giving them to Ava as soon as I bought them. Kinda defeats the purpose. LOL
