I have found that in today's society manners just keep being pushed aside. The children that are not being taught manners today are going to be the adults that don't use manners tomorrow and don't teach their children manners the next day.
An important part of manners is teaching your kids to write thank you cards. This is a huge opportunity to start helping children understand the meaning of giving. The world is not suppose to just give you things and when people do you some be grateful and thankful.
Gift giving time is not the only occasion you can have your child write a thank-you. What about when "Uncle Joe took you to the Zoo," or when "Aunt Susie helped you with your school project." Also, wouldn't it be nice if your child received a thank you cards from a friend after he was over for a fun play date, well that friend would probably think it was neat to receive one as well.
It is also a good idea to ask your child who they think deserves a thank-you card for doing something nice for them. This way your child will be able to think about what people do for them in a new way.
At CardsDirect you can personalize your cards as well as get your return address put on the envelope.
