Okay, I have to admit that where Hunter and his sleep are concerned we have been very lucky. Unless there are out of the norm circumstances he is usually good about going down for his nap as well as going to bed.
However, on occasion, such as today, he has trouble and wants to be held and or rocked. I have learned to cherish these moments, as a wild and very active 18 month old the moments that I actually get to hold him, his head on my shoulder, are few.
Today we did this circle of in his bed, screaming, get him rock him, in his bed, screaming, get him rock him, etc for about an hour. So I did my best to just embrace and enjoy being able to hold my son and have him want to be in my arms.
Then I remembered that for the last hour the hatch of my vehicle had been up (not in a garage) with our purchases from Sam's in the back. I was going to run and put him in his bed because he was so sleepy and so good at going to sleep and then go get my stuff out.
Oh well, the purchases will wait but my baby is turning into a little boy so fast!
Even with all the wonderful thoughts I had about my little one during this nap time process today I must say the thought of a nice glass of wine slipped in there a couple of times...
