Looking for a Super Mom cape – size large

Okay, here is my confession. I actually thought that I was going to be one of those stay at home moms that made it look easy. My house would be clean; I would sail through my medical transcription training and be bringing in some money. The scrapbook would up to date. My photos would all be in books. Supper would be gourmet. I would run my errands while looking like a million bucks… You get the picture.

Well that is just not how it is going – not even close!

Without sounding arrogant I know I am a good Mom and I know that those other things are not really that important but I am jealous of you Super Moms.

I know you exist, I see you out there. You look like a million dollars, your scrapbooks are update you knit your children clothes, you have 3 part time jobs and you help everyone you know.

However, I bet you don't ever just sit around and watch your twenty million TV shows like I do. You probably don't surf the internet or talk on the phone as much as I do and you probably don't go to bed at 9 pm like I do…

So ladies and gentlemen I am going to forge into trying to become a little bit of a Super Mom. Luckily, my TV shows are about over so that should not get in the way. I am going to try and this first week not go to bed unless my kitchen is clean and Hunter's toys are picked up. I am also going to get at least 5 reports a day of my "studies" done.

Now, I have attempted this transformation before and it did not stick but I am going to go at this time like I have my exercise. Which, by the way, I ran 32 minutes on the treadmill this morning. So I am going to try to take baby steps into Supermomdom. I mean really do you think Super Woman learned all her tricks in one day?

Super Moms are like Santa, everyone think they're cute but the fact is they're not for real! You wanna know something funny?!I entitled my blog like that "Super mom", 'cause that exactly what I think all of the stay at home moms are...Trying to handle a family (in my case a family of 5), to run a house and still be able to give attention to the loveones, it's quite a task!I hardly have time to blink!
So,God bless you Lady! You're only human!

Great post. I for one, don't actually know a Super Mom. I, myself just realized that I wasn't leaving enough time to take care of myself. So, I am trying to give myself time each day. 15 minutes is all I ask.
