Great, Tiring weekend

Well the weekend went by so quickly. I am still tired and Hunter is still asleep so he must be feeling it as well.

Brad took off Friday and we headed up to Livingston. This past weekend was the Hayes Hitzeman Foundation Charity Golf Tournament. I think I have posted on this several times but for new readers I will go into it a little bit.

Several years ago a very good friend's sister, lost a child to SIDS. She started a foundation in his name. So each year my friend's family and friends put on a charity golf tournament to raise money for the foundation.

It was a great day. Everything went so smoothly and I think everyone had a great time. I can't wait to see how much we raised.

I did have a little issue Thursday. I had the golf tees that we were putting in the golfers goody bags. Well, I expected them to arrive Thursday. After I made e-mail contact with the company I learned they would be arriving to my house on Friday well after we had planned on leaving.

After several calls to UPS Thursday and one bright and early Friday morning, I finally got them pulled from the truck and left at the UPS hub. We stopped on the way out of town and all worked out. However, Thursday night I was a little upset over it all. I shouls have known it would work out but I think I was just a little overwhelmed...

Friday night we had the volunteers over to my friend Darren's house. (It was his sister whose son passed away of SIDS.) We served them hamburgers and hot dogs and passed out their job descriptions and their volunteer T-shirts. All in all I think it was a successful night.

Saturday morning we got to the golf course at 6:30 and like I said everything went really smoothly. There were a couple of very slow golf groups which kind of slows everyone behind them down but other than that it was good.

Saturday night some friends came down to the house boat and we had a nice time. Hunter did not want to go to bed. He then got to that past the point of reason tired and Brad finally walked him up and down the dock until the poor little guy just passed out.

Sunday we went to church with my Granny went back to the boat, packed it up and headed home. I am still exhausted over the weekend and this weeekend being Memorial Day we will do it again. Of course, I will not have to get up at 5:00 any of the mornings (hopefully!)

Tommorrow I hope I am feeling more rested and back to normal. I have some blogs to read and a meme to post.
